“What inspires you? I am inspired by how little girls dress with simplicity, color, and a sense of fun. Over my desk, I have a photo of a barefoot girl standing in a sea of bright, green grass. She is wearing an orange and pink tutu—perhaps a bit too large—hanging nearly to her knees with her long red hair down and her arms stretched over her head. She is every inch her own person, completely unafraid, and ready to dance and play.
This picture of my little lady muse reminds me to be myself and express myself with my clothes. Just as being yourself and loving yourself is critical to happy relationships, how you dress is your “get out of jail free card” to move freely in the world and be you.
Bright colors, a sense of fun, breaking the old rules by combining prints that are a bit discordant, but compliment each other. These are the trends I see in my favorite go-to clothes at Anthropologie and J. Crew. And Reruns has these amazing finds as well as labels I could only dream of affording. I don’t know how my favorite shop does it, but they do! And I have the most fun when I come into the shop, it is like therapy except I get to look fabulous when I leave. And sometimes I do wear my new outfits out of Reruns. Break some rules, be yourself, move around freely in your world! It’s Spring!”

It may seem too bold (or scary) to wear all white but, ladies, it is in this season. Swedish fashion blogger and budding designer Elin Kling has really perfected the all-white look here. Pairing wide-leg pants with a loose-fitting, basic top may seem counter-intutive but it works especially well with an all white look. Because white is such a delicate color, mixing it with more masculine cuts only increases the sex-appeal of the outfit–less isn’t always more. Once you’ve got your outfit, add a little pop of color with some crazy bright lipstick (also very in this season), leave those locks a little tousled and you’re ready to go out looking like a Grade A fashionista! Yes, Spring is all about colors; but hey, white’s a color too.
